Phase two at Brentford Lock West is to be launched for sale by developer Waterside Places.
Chalico Walk will make up the first of the homes to be released as part of phase two at Brentford Lock West. A waterfront building of 42 apartments, Chalico Walk overlooks Brentford’s Grand Union Canal, where Waterside Places – a JV between Muse Developments and the Canal & River Trust – has carried out extensive improvements.
Mæ Architects has designed the homes to offer a new architectural perspective while complementing the first phase at Brentford Lock West, which sold out. The six pavilion buildings have distinct saw-tooth roof forms that make reference to the neighbouring wharf architecture, while terraces of townhouses and inhabited bridges link the pavilions and enclose a resident garden.
John Robinson, Development Director at Brentford Lock West, said: “Brentford Lock West has already had a substantial impact on this corner of west London, as a result of vast investment in the local waterways and new initiatives such as the hugely popular rooftop allotments on top of Carrick Square. Phase two will bring further architectural diversity and a variety of homes to cater for every element of this growing new community.”
Situated along the banks of the Grand Union Canal, Brentford Lock West forms part of a regeneration project delivering approximately 500 new homes. The scheme has been designed to maximise the water frontage, and includes community spaces and commercial buildings as well as new homes.
