Brentford CPO inquiry possible

The owner of land required for Brentford FC’s new stadium has asked for an inquiry into the serving of a Compulsory Purchase Order by Hounslow Council.

The plans for the 20,000 seat stadium in Lionel Road South will also provide 910 new homes, a hotel and retail space. They gained consent in 2014.

Getwestlondon reports that the club has acquired all the land required except the Capital Court office block, in Capital Interchange Way, which is owned by First Industrial, who have objected to the CPO served on them, possibly triggering a public inquiry.
