Brent Council held a workshop for Harlesden residents and business people to explore ways to shape the future of a “vibrant town centre”.
The workshop was the latest stage in a Brent Council process to develop a vision for the future of the town and follows two previous events. It is being conducted by Urban Design Skills, architects and urban design consultants, and is also backed by Transport for London (TfL).
The aim is to create a vision, embodied in a town charter that can be used to inform future decision making for town planners and highway engineers among others.
Urban Design Skills will work the ideas into a series of design proposals and visual representations which will be put to a further public meeting on Monday 29 March. The ultimate aim is to produce a document which will guide the Council and TfL in developing the town centre.
