Brent are getting ready to decide the split of their developer contributions across the borough.
A total of 3.8 million will be spent on making Brent’s places and spaces better in 2016 – 2017. Brent Council’s Cabinet will allocate the pot to fifty different projects across the borough at their February meeting.
Wembley would receive the most amount of funding, with Kingsbury Town Centre and South Kilburn also getting money for upgrades and improvements.
Councillor Margaret McLennan, Lead Member for Housing and Development at Brent Council said: “I’m very excited about the projects that have been identified.
“We’re talking about improvements to play spaces, transport networks and high streets which will be great for people, businesses and the environment.
“These projects are made possible because when we accept new homes and development in Brent, we also make sure that the impacts of those developments can be factored in and that local people are able to see the benefits of accepting new homes in their area.”
