Brent House could go B&B

Brent Council is looking at converting one of its former offices into bed and breakfast accommodation for homeless families.

Brent House, on Wembley High Road, would become 272 units of bed and breakfast accommodation under the proposals. Homeless families could live in them temporarily – for up to a year.

This is a short term measure, a response to the high numbers of families registered as homeless in the borough. Longer term the plan is to redevelop the site as 270 new homes.
