Brent Council has held its first online planning meeting.
New regulations have come into force allowing online meetings, and Brent has taken advantage to keep the flow of decisions moving, and help business carry on. All papers for the meetings were available online, and there is no longer a requirement to make printed copies available.
The aim is to minimise the disruption to the planning process, and, as leader Cllr Muhammed Butt put it, “keep the show on the road and carry out more of the council’s business as usual, in a way that is safe for everyone”.
