Brent Cross premium offer continues

Brent Cross continues to deliver a premium offer after Hammerson and Aberdeen Standard Investments secure two new retailers for the centre. The announcement follows mall five’s reconfigured and refreshed look giving the best brand-mix for customers.

Specialist multi-brand British beauty retailer Space NK is set to open a new boutique alongside Waterstones, which have launched one of the bookstore’s new stores.

Consumer favourite Space NK’s 1,560 sq ft boutique, which is due to open later this year, will bring global best-selling brands to Brent Cross. The new letting to Waterstones is in response to extensive customer feedback with requests for a high-quality book shop to join the line-up at the shopping centre. The 3,000 sq ft bookstore has taken two units.

Brent Cross has a forty year history of attracting the very best brands and remains a key location for consumers. Premium brands has seen retailers in mall five such as Jaeger, LK Bennett and Monsoon proactively replaced over the past three years with brands that continue to resonate strongly with consumers, including All Saints, Guess and Anthropologie. The first half of 2019 also saw international clothing brand Khaadi and athleisure brand North Face take space on the mall five.

Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson said on behalf of the joint venture: “Both Space NK and Waterstones are great examples of brands that continually innovate and place in-store customer experience at the forefront of their strategy. Brent Cross is an iconic destination and we are working hard to ensure it continues to engage and excite consumers by curating a retail and leisure mix that offers more than just products. These latest signings are testament to the center’s enduring appeal as destination where people and brands want to be.”

Andy Lightfoot, CEO, Space NK added “We are delighted to open our 70th UK store in Brent Cross, and bolster our growing portfolio.”

Kate Skipper, COO, Waterstones says: “We are very pleased to bring a bookshop to Brent Cross, one of the busiest shopping centres in England. We have been inundated over the years with requests to open a shop here and are thrilled to finally be able to do so.”
