Brent Council looking for a new home

A council meeting last week approved Brent’s plans to move to a "21st century" new building.

The plans involve vacating the "ageing and inadequate" Forty Lane premises, along with a number of other locations, and moving an estimated 1250 staff into a single facility somewhere in the Wembley regeneration area. Paul Lorber, Council Leader, said: "this will be a landmark building for the 21st century".

Following the decision, Brent are now officially looking for a new home, which could well be built as a partnership with a developer in a similar fashion to the new Town Hall Extention in King Street Hammersmith.
