Brent Council’s Cabinet is to meet to decide the sale of Bridge Park Leisure Centre to the owners of the neighbouring Unisys building, a deal which could help see the Unisys site finally redeveloped.
The deal, a Conditional Land Sale Agreement recommended for approval by an officers report, would see the Leisure Centre sold to General Mediterranean Holdings SA who own the neighbouring vacant and derelict former Unisys buildings (pictured top).
The council have been hoping to enable redevelopment of the Unisys site for quite some time. The building occupies a key site next to Stonebridge Park station, on the North Circular, and at the Northern tip of Park Royal.
The report suggests the deal could lead to the comprehensive regeneration of the whole area.
A new leisure centre would be built as a condition of the sale, along with new homes and commercial space.
