The planning hearing to examine Brent Council’s core strategy for its Local Development Framework starts Tuesday 19 January.
The hearings, conducted by an independent inspector, will run for two weeks, and will consider whether the core strategy is sound and legally compliant. This week the hearings will examine housing, shopping employment and climate change. Next week they will consider strategic areas and the creation of public spaces – place making, Wembley growth area, Park Royal, Alperton and other strategic areas, and implementation and monitoring.
Once the hearings have concluded the inspector will prepare a report for the council with conclusions and any changes that are required to the Core Strategy which will be binding on the council.
