Brent Council has approved its own plans to redevelop the Carlton and Granville Centres in South Kilburn to deliver 23 social homes alongside improved community facilities.
The Adam Khan Architects designed plans are for phase 2 of the project, and will deliver the site’s long-term future. The main aim is to secure sustainable community facilities for South Kilburn, plus training and employment opportunities for local people, by improving existing spaces, and creating excellent new ones. These include a permanent Enterprise Hub, offices for South Kilburn Trust, and accommodation for groups and services currently based on the site: the Nursery School, the Barnardo’s operated Children’s Centre, Granville Community Kitchen and the Otherwise Club.
