Boris would run London HCA under Tories

The London division of the Homes and Communities Agency would be run by mayor Boris Johnson, under Conservative proposals, reports Inside Housing.

The HCAs in London invests around a billion pounds a year, and at the moment is only required to take account of the Mayor’s policies. The Conservatives have said they will put it directly under his control, so he will be able to make “joined up decisions about major infrastructure for which he is responsible” including social housing, transport and economic development.
