Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, has been selected as the parliamentary candidate for the Conservative Party for the Uxbridge and South Ruislip seat.
Boris beat Hillingdon deputy leader Councillor David Simmonds, Windsor and Maidenhead councillor Simon Dudley, and barrister Suella Fernandes in a vote last week, recording over 50% of the first round votes.
This ensures the Heathrow expansion issue will be high on the agenda in the General Election campaign.
