Boris Johnson has approved the Brent Cross regeneration scheme.
The £4.5bn regeneration scheme will create a new town centre with 7,500 homes and associated infrastructure just outside the West London sub-region, in LB Barnet. It will be developed by the Brent Cross Development Partnership – a Brookfield Europe, Hammerson and Standard Life Investments joint venture – over the next 30 years.
The Mayor said: Having carefully considered the proposal I am satisfied that the application fulfils the need to have the kinds of transport links that will bring fluidity and rejuvenation to Brent Cross while avoiding potential problems caused by any extra traffic.
