Boris puts Moylan in charge of aviation

Daniel Moylan has been moved from his job as Chair of the London Legacy Development Corporation to drive the Mayor of London’s aviation policy.

The Mayor, Boris Johnson, will take on the role of Chair of the LLDC, the body set up to ensure the legacy vision of the London Olympics is realised, himself on a permanent basis. Daniel Moylan, already an aviation adviser to the Mayor, will now concentrate on that role.

He remains a board member for Transport for London, he was formerly Deputy Chairman. He has been a councillor in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea since 1990.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: “Daniel Moylan is a gifted politician with a superb brain. I’ve asked Daniel to take on one of the most important challenges of my second term, the vital task of driving our aviation policy. London is the heartbeat of the UK’s economy. We must remain competitive, and to do that we need a coherent aviation strategy for 21st century London. Daniel Moylan will help me deliver that.”
