Boris approves Sarries plans

The Mayor of London has approved the plans to convert Barnet Copthall stadium into a 10,000 seater stadium for rugby club Saracens.

Barnet Council approved the plans earlier this year. They involve rebuilding the stadium to produce a 10,000 seater stadium on the site of the athletics track. It will be home to the rugby club presently based in Watford, but still host the local athletics clubs, and be available for community use even during Saracens 16 home matches each season.
