The Council has published a tender notice for architectural services relating to the renewal of Bishops Park and Fulham Palace Gardens.
Subject to the success of a stage 1 Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Parks for People (PfP) application submitted on 31 March 2008, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham is looking to commission a team of consultants to act together on a package of consultancy services relating to the restoration and improvement of Bishops Park and the grounds of Fulham Palace.
In particular they want the team to producethe HLF Stage 2 application, produce detailed designs for planning and preparation of works tenders, and procure and administer the works contract.
The project has an overall capital budget of £7m works and fees and is seen by the Council as a tremendous opportunity to enhance and improve the image of a London landmark.
The lead consultant of the successful tenderer will be responsible for coordinating the completion of the commission on behalf of the consultant team. Implementation of the final design would be expected to take place during 2010/2011.
