Bees public inquiry date

Brentford stadium apr 2015A date has been set for the public inquiry over the compulsory purchase order required for Brentford FC’s new stadium.

The club plans a new 20,000-seat arena in Lionel Road South, along with 910 homes, and these plans were granted consent by Hounslow Council.

The inquiry follows an appeal by First Industrial, the owner of Capital Court, an office block on Capital Interchange Way, who was served a compulsory purchase order (CPO) by Hounslow Council. An eight-day hearing will take place in September.

The club still hopes for work to begin on the new stadium site by the end of 2015.
