Beeb and Stanhope set up TVC vehicle

The partners are working on a major mixed use redevelopment of the iconic site following Stanhope’s ¬£200m acquisition last year. They aim to redevelop the centre, reproviding some studio facilities alongside commercial and leisure space, and 1000 new homes.

The BBC has been decanting staff out, and at the end of March moved the news teams to Broadcasting House. Now the site will be redeveloped, planning permissions permitting, and reoccupied from 2015. BBC Worldwide and BBC Studios will move back in to the building, with the rest of the space marketed to “creative sector” companies.
