Richard Deverell, the second in command of the BBC’s relocation to Salford, is, according to reports, to move to a West London role.
This is positioned by many as a blow to the BBC, showing a “struggle” to persuade key staff to move to the North West. Deverell is reported to have chosen to leave his job as BBC North chief operating officer to take a role responsible for the BBC’s property in west London, taking over from Keith Beale who is leaving the corporation.
Richard Deverell will take a new role as the BBC’s programme director for the W12 project. He will be in charge of the sale of West London assets.
