Barnet’s move to Harrow up for approval

Barnet FC’s proposed move to Harrow has been recommended for approval.

A report to Harrow Council’s cabinet recommends that the club be allowed to play┬átheir home games at The Hive in Canons Park, which is presently the team’s training ground. This follows a long running dispute between the club and Barnet Council, owners of their home – Underhill – for more than a century.

Council officers have recommended that the club is given approval to play matches at The Hive for ten years, and say that the economic benefits of bringing the club to the borough are significant.
