LB Harrow has approved plans for Barnet FC to move in to the borough and play league games at The Hive, confirming that the club will leave LB Barnet after over a hundred years at Underhill.
The club will pay its home games at The Hive Football Centre in Prince Edward Playing Fields from August next year and will have a ten-year lease to play games at the centre.
The Hive is now nearing the end of a £4m redevelopment with a new gym, bar, changing facilities and offices. many of the facilities will be available for community use.
Barnet FC had hoped to move to Barnet Copthall Stadium, a move blocked by Saracens moving in. They were unable to stay at Underhill after not finding a solution to a long running dispute with Barnet Council of the lease.
