Barnet FC has been awarded costs in its appeal against Harrow Council’s enforcement notice over the height of its floodlights.
The Council refused retrospective planning permission for the new stand and floodlights at The Hive under a previous administration. They then issued an enforcement notice asking the club to take down the stand and floodlights.
Barnet FC appealed the decision, and then the Council withdrew its notice, but only shortly before the inquiry was to open.
Barnet FC then applied to the Planning Inspectorate for costs, an application which has now been granted.
Harrow Council told the Harrow Observer: “The council notes and accepts the judgment in this case. We will seek to work with the owners of Barnet FC”
