Barnet picks Countryside, L&Q

LB Barnet has picked Countryside Properties and London & Quadrant as development partner for the regeneration of the Dollis Valley estate in Chipping Barnet.

The plans involve building around 600 new mixed-tenure homes in a variety of sizes, many would be traditional houses with gardens. Around a third will be affordable. New public green space and community facilities are also planned. Alison Brooks Architects and HTA Architects have designed the masterplan. The scheme has been designed to achieve Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Phase 1 could be on site in 2013, following demolition of the existing homes.
