RE will formally go to market next month seeking a 50:50 joint venture development partner for Brent Cross South.
The joint venture between Barnet council and Capita is looking to procure a partner for the the southern section of the wider Cricklewood masterplan. The council’s long-term partners Hammerson and Standard Life Investments have agreed only to take forward the redevelopment of Brent Cross shopping centre.
Brent Cross South has an extant consent from the Allies and Morrison scheme submitted in 2010, but RE says a new partner might wish to vary that.
The council have identified a proposition that would bring forward around 2,400 homes and 180,000 sq ft of retail on a new high street linking into the Living Bridge and Brent Cross Shopping Centre.
