LB Barnets consultation on the Local Development Framework has two weeks to go.
Residents have until 22 June 2011 to comment on the LDF documents relating to the council’s Core Strategy and Development Management Policies. The consultation on the North London Waste Plan will continue until 8 July 2011.
The Core Strategy has been revised to reflect comments made during earlier consultation carried out last year. Once finalised this will help guide future development in Barnet.
The Development Management Policies detail the local policies that will be used for day to day decision making by the planning service and the North London Waste Plan sets out suitable sites for future management of all North London’s waste in future years, along with a policy framework for waste management.
Councillor Richard Cornelius, Cabinet Member for Housing, Planning and Regeneration, said: “As Barnet’s population continues to grow it is crucial that we have strategies and policies in place which will protect and enhance what we have, and deliver the infrastructure needed to make sure the borough remains a desirable place in which to live.”
