Barnet considers JV to run planning

Barnet Council, which had been considering outsourcing a number of council functions – including planning – now has establishing a joint venture as its preferred option, according to a report.

A Barnet blogger has published a leaked e-mail which suggests that the council prefers the JV arrangement to run its built environment functions. Separately, Planning Magazine reports that  EC Harris and Capita Symonds are bidding to be the council’s partner for the service.
