Ballymore’s Hayes & Harlington goods yard development, denied permission by LB Hillingdon, has been allowed by the planning inspector.
LB Hillingdon had rejected an application to build 576 homes and a hotel on the site of the former Hayes and Harlington Station goods yard in August.
That decision has been overturned by the independent planning inspector, a decision which will disappoint councillors who ruled against it because of its density and possible impact on Hayes.
