BA looks away from Heathrow

British Airways has begun a search for new accommodation to enable them to move away from their current base, Waterside, which is on land required for the airport’s expansion.

Property Week reports that the airline has launched a search for 500,000 sq ft of office space in West London and the Thames Valley. BA might also retain a base at heathrow, if expansion goes ahead, but given Waterside would need to be demolished to allow construction of the new runway, they would need to find alternative space.
