Audit Commission clears Brent and Hillingdon in Iceland affair

The Audit Commission report into Public Sector investments with Icelandic banks has found a number of authorities negligent, but none from West London.

Brent (£15m) and Hillingdon (£20m) both lost money in the banking collapse, but neither are on the list of those found to be negligent.

Those authorites named were Kent County Council, the South Yorkshire Pensions Authority, London Borough of Havering, Restormel Council, Bridgenorth Council, Redcar and Cleveland Council, and North East Lincolnshire Council.
