ASC Cargo Handling have leased another unit at SEGRO and Aviva Investors Heathrow Cargo Centre.
ASC Cargo Handling has occupied 38,000 sq ft at the Heathrow Cargo Centre since 2010. The new unit, at 27,500 sq ft, almost doubles their space. Heathrow Cargo Centre is the airport’s primary cargo facility and offers companies which are based there both airside and landside access.
ASC Cargo Handling handles a high volume of cargo at Heathrow for a number of customers. Its services include door-to-door freight handling and warehousing for a wide variety of cargo intended for either import or export. The successful expansion of their business operations has now led to them taking this adjoining unit.
The Heathrow Cargo Centre also accommodates DHL, Worldwide Flight Services, Air France, Air Canada and Dnata.
Alan Holland, Director of APP and SEGRO’s Business Unit Director for Greater London, said: “This latest deal illustrates the continued demand for APP’s strategically well located industrial assets, which remain popular with a wide range of cargo handlers and leading international airlines, as well as postal and parcel distribution companies.”
Rakesh Sharma, General Manager, ASC Cargo Handling, said: “ASC Cargo Handling is a growing company and we have very high aspirations for expanding our market share. In our three years at Heathrow we have outgrown our original premises and have elected to increase our space commitment at the Cargo Centre in order to meet increasing customer demand. Sandringham Road provides us with an ideally located base for our operations, and we have been delighted to work closely with the team at SEGRO to meet our expanding requirements.”
APP is a joint venture formed between SEGRO and Aviva Investors in June 2010; SEGRO is the asset manager, while Aviva Investors is the fund manager.
