Cultura London is to take over Harrow Arts Centre from the council and is launching a major redevelopment project
The charitable trust intends to build a cinema complex, an art gallery and a restaurant have as part of a major redevelopment.
Harrow Arts Centre was likely to close as part of a package of savings by Harrow Council, but will from June 1 be run by Cultura London along with Headstone Manor and Museum, and Harrow Music Service.
The £17 million redevelopment plans would provide a new 600-seat theatre, a new two screen cinema complex and a new bar, restaurant, art gallery, cafe and shop. The trust is fundraising to pay for the development.
