Arcadia plans approved

Benson Elliot’s plans to convert the Arcadia shopping centre in to three large retail units have been approved.

The centre is split in to 25 units at present, but will now be home to a Morrisons, a TX Maxx and a McDonalds. The centre will be renamed “1-8 The Broadway”. Allies & Morrison are the architect on the scheme, while Planning Perspectives¬†handled planning.

The centre was part of the Glenkerrin plan to build a major new shopping centre, and to develop a residential tower over Ealing Broadway centre which was approved by the Mayor of London, but refused on ministerial call in. Glenkerrin then went into liquidation, after which Benson Elliot acquired the site from the liquidator.
