Arbour Park makes FIFA grade

Slough Borough Council has released the latest picture of the community sports facility, Arbour Park, which can now be the new home of Slough Town Football Club.

Phase one of the scheme is seeing the final touches with floodlight testing taking place.

The brand new 3G pitch has also received the FIFA seal of approval – one of only 24 in the UK to gain this status.

This means the pitch meets the requirements of the Southern Football League and Slough Town Football Club (STFC) can start playing home fixtures at this brand new venue.

Phase one of the facility is expected to be handed over on Monday 15 August and it is hoped STFC will play their local derby fixture against Hayes and Yeading FC on the August bank holiday Monday.
