The Airport Property Partnership (APP), the joint venture formed between SEGRO and Aviva Investors, has secured its largest letting at Heathrow this year to Wincanton Holdings.
Wincanton, a provider of supply chain services, has leased the 86,592 sq ft building known as ‘Centra’ – a detached distribution facility which is currently adapted for ambient, chilled and produce storage – on the North Feltham Trading Estate to service a major contract for supermarket chain, Morrisons.
Wincanton is an existing SEGRO customer and has facilities with them based at West Thurrock and at Greenford, Park Royal in West London.
Alan Holland, Director of APP and SEGRO’s Business Unit Director for Greater London, said, “The size of this deal demonstrates that even in these difficult markets there is demand for APP’s strategically well located industrial assets. Heathrow is a significant market for the fund and we are delighted to secure Wincanton at Centra.”
Ian Henderson, Group Property Director, Wincanton Holdings Ltd, said, “The Centra facility provides us with a strategic location close to Heathrow Airport from which to run a busy supply chain logistics operation.”
North Feltham Trading Estate, which covers approx. 700,000 sq ft, is also home to occupiers such as LSG Sky Chefs, Fedex and UPS.
APP is a joint venture formed between SEGRO and Aviva Investors in June 2010; SEGRO is the asset manager, while Aviva Investors is the fund manager.
