HMV has announced that it has sold the Hammersmith Apollo to Stage C.
Stage C is jointly owned by AEG (who operate the O2 Arena among other venues) and a subsidiary of CTS Eventim, a german ticketing services provider. The sale should be completed by August.
Chief Executive of HMV Group, Simon Fox, told the Hammersmith Chronicle: “The Hammersmith Apollo is an iconic London venue and it has been a privilege to own it over the last three years.
“AEG has a great track record in running live venues. They and their partner buyer CTS Eventim have impressive and exciting plans for the Hammersmith Apollo and we wish them well.”
