Amey wins three borough shared services deal

Amey has been named preferred bidder for the contract to deliver shared services across the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, and Westminster.

Construction News reports Amey have won the £500m “tri-borough” contract, subject to ratification by the three council cabinets.

The contract involves delivering a single property function for the three councils, including plans to share capital projects and construction procurement.

The aim is to deliver better services, and to save £40m a year. At least 175 council posts will disappear.
