Alliance gets further funding for One Public Estate work

The West London Alliance has been granted a further £400,000 for work on its One Public Estate programme – the process which identifies public land and property which might be suitable for development.

The grant will allow the Alliance to continue working on a range of projects in what is the largest One Public Estate programme in the country.

The grant will support work on the Harrow Civic Centre site, the Hounslow Bus Garage, and support a joint asset review for the “blue lights” services of police, fire, and ambulance.

The programme seeks to identify places where assets and services can be improved by redeveloping and intensifying sites, often including new homes. The previous phase included work on the Hounslow Cavalry Barracks which now has an established planning brief.
