SEGRO and Aviva Investors have let a further 35,000 sq ft at the Heathrow International Trading Estate.
Allens Catering Hire Services has taken two units, totalling 23,067 sq ft on a 15 year lease, while global logistics and forward service provider Yamato Transport Europe has taken 11,738 sq ft on a six year lease. This cuts the vacancy rate on the estate from 30% to 6%.
Alan Holland, Director of the SEGRO/Aviva JV – Airport Property Partership, and SEGRO’s Business Unit Director for Greater London, said: “We’ve seen strong customer take-up in our Heathrow portfolio throughout 2014. Many of our customers who operate internationally want to be close to Heathrow as it can directly link them to emerging markets and new business opportunities. Customers can access the M25 and motorway network easily and quickly enabling them to move their goods and services around the country.”
“Following these latest deals, Heathrow International Trading Estate is now almost fully let, with one single 11,527 sq ft unit remaining. We have seen vacancy on the estate reduced from around 30 per cent to just six per cent this year – a clear demonstration of the ongoing demand for well located space.”.
Symphony Coaches and Media Servicing also moved to Heathrow International Trading Estate in 2014.
