The site has been subject to number of planning applications over the years, but plans have so far been rejected due to criticisms that the site was overcrowded and concerns over the designs of the buildings. The most recent application from owner Carlton was withdrawn in November 2008.
This week Assael Architecture put a revised version of earlier plans to members of Brentford Community Council, reports the Hounslow Chronicle.
The new scheme includes two hotels, one of which would be housed within the present Alfa Laval tower, offices and housing. Brentford Community Council were positive about the scheme, saying it is better than anything else presented so far.
Assael say they have also been in consultation with LB Hounslow and the Mayor’s office, and have also received support from them. A planning application is expected next month.
