The Carlton plans for the Alfa Laval site on the Great West Road have passed through LB Houslow’s sustainable development committee.
Carlton Properties’ plans for the site involve two hotels, offices, 206 flats and houses and a 361-space underground car park. They received widespread support from residents and councillors when submitted in June. Now LB Hounslow’s sustainable development committee has approved the planning application.
Councillor Andrew Dakers told the Hounslow Guardian: I was delighted to approve the scheme, which will be a very significant investment in Brentford. A few details still need to be resolved, such as whether the combined heat and power plant will be able to use different fuel sources and the level of funding for a community space, but we are nearly there.
The Assael Architecture designed plans incude rooftop allotments and space for beehives. Carlton Properties will pay around £1.3m towards additional primary and secondary school places.
