SEGRO and Aviva Investors, through their joint venture, Airport Property Partnership are to welcome Airworld Airlines to the Heathrow Cargo Centre.
The air service provider will occupy an 84,105 sq ft airside unit at Building 585 Shoreham Road, providing them with direct access to and from the airport runway.
The Heathrow Cargo Centre forms part of APP’s portfolio, which focuses on offering airside and landside warehousing at key transport hubs, such as Heathrow and Gatwick Airport.
Alan Holland, Director of APP and SEGRO’s Business Unit Director for Greater London, said: “Airworld Airlines is a successful air services provider and we are pleased to support their move into the Heathrow Cargo Centre. This latest deal demonstrates the continued demand we are seeing for well located, high quality industrial units that deliver airside and landside access.
“APP has a unique portfolio of assets located at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted that are popular with a wide range of customers, including cargo handlers and freight forwarders, that require both direct airside and landside access.”
As well as Airworld Airlines, Shoreham Road occupiers at the Heathrow Cargo Centre include Air Canada, DHL Aviation, WFS, United Airlines, Air France, Dnata and Menzies Aviation.
Heathrow handles over 75% of all UK cargo freight which creates captive demand for assets with direct airside access.
