AirTrack consultation begins in Feltham

Airtrack map BAA’s AirTrack proposals, which would link Heathrow more closely to the train network, are heading into a new phase of consultation.

Proposals are for increased frequencies of train through the Feltham area, and a new maintenance depot to house, maintain and clean the new Airtrack fleet which could employ up to 60 staff and 70 train drivers. The site is located within the metropolitan greenbelt and is a designated nature conservation area.

A new bridge across the River Crane would provide access to the yard from Godfrey Way across the Royal Mail car park.

The consultation exhibitions will take place at Stanwell Moor Village Hall on October 23 between 12pm and 8pm, Staines Community Centre on October 25 and November 8 between 10am and 4pm, and St Giles Hotel in Feltham on November 6 between 12pm and 8pm.
