Aberdeen Standard Investment’s AIPUT fund (Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust) has secured several new tenants at Heathrow’s Blackthorne Point logistics park within a month of the completion of their refurbishment.
They have let a combined total of 45,000 sq ft in addition to lease extensions agreed with two large existing tenants. The new arrivals cited close proximity to the cargo terminals and the nearby motorway network as key elements in their decision to locate their operations at Blackthorne Point.
C.H. Robinson and Horizon International, cargo logistics specialists, have both extended their existing leases, while units 12, 15 and 16 are now let to Micronutrients, London E Cargo, and City2City Couriers, each within a month of the completion of the refurbishment.
Unit 10, a single unit of 8,665 sq ft, is the sole remaining space to be let, with its refurbishment recently completed, which includes a dedicated yard.
