Action Acton a model for back-to-work programme

Action Acton have been used as an example by the Government of a third sector organisation participating in their programme for getting people back in to jobs.

Employment minister Chris Grayling and Lord Freud, minister for welfare reform, launched their Work Programme at the charity’s job search Centre, reports the Ealing Gazette.

Action Acton will be one of 300 voluntary groups across the country which will be paid by results helping jobseekers in Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham from June, when the first customers are referred from Jobcentre Plus. The charity have won contracts from Ingeus and REED, who are employed by the government to oversee the scheme.
