A2Dominion are pushing forward their Cricklewood Gate project, on the former Parcelforce site on the Edgware Road, asking for expressions of interest for the main construction contract.
The £20m project aims to deliver 394 flats, and four commercial units. The scheme has been designed by Carey Jones, but is yet to receive planning approval from LB Barnet. A former version of the scheme, containing 474 flats, was refused around two years ago on the grounds that it did not integrate with other developments in the area.
The A2Dominion scheme would involve demolition of the existing buildings on Geron Way, and their replacement with six blocks, ranging from 5 storeys on Edgware Road to 15 storeys above a podium within the central courtyard, with commercial uses at ground floor level along Edgware Road including office, A3 restaurant, pub, and health centre.
Note: this project is in Barnet for planning purposes, the Borough boundary runs down the middle of the Edgware Road.
