Hillingdon consults on town centres

Hillingdon Council consulting on how to improve the look and feel of Ruislip Manor and Northwood Hills town centres.

The council’s consultation includes easing traffic congestion, better parking and improving safety. A similar consultation was recently held in Hayes town centre, which closed at the end of October.

Work is currently being done to improve shop fronts in Ruislip Manor and Northwood Hills, thanks to regeneration funding awarded to Hillingdon by the Mayor of London. Design specialists have also been offering free advice on improving window displays and enticing more shoppers.

The consultation in Ruislip Manor launches on 5 November until 3 December and Northwood Hills will follow on later in November.

Councillor Douglas Mills, Cabinet Member for Improvement, Partnerships and Community Safety, said: “We want Ruislip Manor and Northwood Hills to be seen as a great place to live in, work or visit.”
