50% affordable target to be scrapped

Richard_barnes New London Deputy mayor Richard Barnes has confirmed the 50 per cent affordable housing target for all London boroughs will be ditched.

Speaking at the Buildings Future conference, at the RIBA, the former leader of Hillingdon Council, and the GLA’s Conservative Group confirmed Boris Johnson’s manifesto pledge would become a reality, saying the new Mayor would instead be set borough-by-borough targets.
