Harrow looks to boost start-ups

LB Harrow is providing advice to those who want to set up their own company with a free business seminar offering guidance on how to start a business and survive in the current financial climate.

The event, provided in partnership with Barclays and Harrow In Business, focuses on how to write a good business plan, source finance and manage cash flow, and examines legal requirements, taxation, VAT, and Marketing.

Harrow Council Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Planning, Cllr Keith Ferry, said: “If you have a business idea that you’d like to turn into a reality but need help creating or strengthening your business plan then this event is definitely for you.

“The seminars are free and interactive and you’ll enjoy support and advice on the essential steps for starting-up so you can get your business off to the right start – and you will have the opportunity to network with other budding entrepreneurs.”
