The Capital West London Build & Recover Summit – the key annual event for the sub-region – will take place on September 29 as an online event.
The event is run on behalf of the West London boroughs – Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow and Hounslow. This year the summit will look at the pivotal role West London will play in the UK’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.
With a focus on inclusive, sustainable regeneration and building back better, key figures from West London’s councils will join leading business representatives for a morning of discussion and debate around the sub-region’s growth and prospects.
The online event will see an emphasis on the seven themes of the sub-region’s recovery strategy. Topics of debate will range from aviation communities, the future of town centres, housing and infrastructure, to growth sectors, skills and employment.
Speakers include Shirley Rodrigues, Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy; Lloyd Lee, Managing Partner, Yoo Capital; Cllr Stephen Cowan, Leader, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham; Michelle Jenkins, Head of Production Services, Film London; and David Symons, UK Director of Sustainability, WSP.
